Weekend Real Estate Stalking

A house recently came on the market here in Rye on Westchester Country Club grounds.  This iconic home had not been available for over 60 years.  It is rumored that the original owners were the Minskoff family of the famed Minskoff theater on Broadway!!!  What an incredible history this home has.  The current owners gave it an amazing chinoiserie flare.  I do love a home with modern touches, but honestly there is nothing better than a house with an elegant traditional feel.  I had to so see what this beauty had to offer.  For more information or to see it for yourself, contact Michael McCooey.

How incredible is this marble mantle!!!  And I need that turquoise Asian statue lamp!!!

The living room is HUGE and the moldings are awesome!!!

This Dorothy Draper style wet bar was probably my favorite thing in the entire house!!!!

The living room rug was fabulous!!!

How amazing is this aged portrait?

The onyx bust was so cool in the front hall!!

I love this shield back chair with this funky floral fabric!!

The artwork was incredible!!

The view was simply beautiful!!!!

I loved this carved breakfront!!!

There is nothing more elegant than a Venetian mirror.

More fab Asian statues!!

A chic nook in an upper hallway!!

There were fun heirlooms throughout the house!!

I love this quirkiness of this book shift chock full of old books!!!

I'm very lucky and get to look around lots of peoples houses in my line of work, but these interiors are very lovely and what a treat to get to look at them after all this time!
